Jeffrey Lynn Horton

Jeffrey Lynn Horton, 51, of Eustace, Tx beloved husband, father, son, uncle, and friend left this home on earth for his eternal heavenly home February 23, 2021.  Jeff was born on October 9, 1969 to Jerry and Jody Horton in Waxahachie, TX.  At an early age his family moved to Eustace where he attended school from kindergarten to graduation in 1988. He loved playing football in high school.  Jeff married the love of his life and soulmate, Joanna Rohrbacker, on December 21, 1990 on a snow-covered mountain in Purgatory, CO. They have spent 30 years together enjoying a wonderful life, traveling, and just making memories.   He worked as a carpenter, plumber, and then his favorite occupation as a stay-at-home dad devoting himself to his family. After his children were grown, he went to work for the City of Dallas as a Master Plumber at Love Field Airport. Jeff enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, and fishing as much as possible.  He cherished time with his family and made it a priority.  A true servant’s heart, he loved helping people. His passion was kids: mentoring through the church, sports or just in the community brought him great happiness. Kids of all ages were drawn to his fun loving and caring personality.  Jeff loved his church and was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church for 20 years. His father and grandparents preceded him in death.  Those left to cherish sweet memories are his wife, Joanna, son Tristan and wife Emily, daughter Jourdyn, his son by choice Jalen Blanton, and granddaughter Everleigh who is soon to arrive, his mother Jody Horton, brothers Jerry Joe and wife Lisa, Johnny and wife Kim, sister Jamie and husband Raymond Garcia, also his father and mother-in-law Gordon and Shelby Rohrbacker, several brothers and sisters-in-law, numerous nieces, nephews, a large extended family, and dear friends.
