Gerald Timothy Howell

Gerald Timothy Howell, 53, of Canton, TX passed away on December 12, 2021 at his home. Tim was born on April 15, 1968, to Gerald and Lynn Howell in Kaufman, TX. Raised in Kaufman, he worked side by side with his best friend, his father, for over 25 years, running the roads, buyin' and sellin' trucks or whatever piece of large equipment they could find, working the auctions and wheelin' and dealin'. They even set up at First Monday trying to make a buck; but instead met and married the love of his life Marcey, even though he still thinks he could have fixed the watch but, in his words, was the best thing he ever got from First Monday hands down. He spent off time coaching his boys Pee Wee football and was then known as "Coach Tim". Football with his boys was his pride and joy; he loved it and them as much as anything. He also helped his Dad, Pat and Brian, at the Chamber auction for years where he was known to roll a bid a time or two all in the name of raising money. ''And that he did." For the chamber and many other charity auctions. Tim, or "Bubba" as known by most, was always willing to help and had a heart as big as Texas, and all who knew him witnessed that at one point in their life. He was preceded in death by his father Gerald Howell. Those left to cherish his memory are wife Marcey Howell of Canton, sons: Dylan and Jake Howell of Tyler and Wyatt Bourquin and Haylie of Canton; daughters: Carley Gaither and husband Matt of Canton and Erin Bourquin and Tyler Hague of Canton; grandchildren: Spencer and Jessie Gaither of Canton; mother Lynn Howell of Kaufman, sister Kim Zaby of Kaufman, brother Jim Howell of Kaufman, also his dearest friends David Archer and Brian Leflore, Britt Murrey and David Heard, a host of aunts, uncles (especially uncle Gayle Howell), nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
