Annette Miles Ames

Annette Miles Ames, 89, of Kaufman passed away on December 6, 2020 in Kaufman, TX.  Annette was born on August 15, 1931 to Floyd and Floy May Miles in Carlisle, AR.  Annette has lived in the Kaufman area for 40 years.  She married Robert Ames Nov. 27, 1980, and they were married 38 years before he passed away in 2019.  She loved to sing. Bob and Annette would sing specials together as often as they could.  She also loved to cook, especially baking her famous pies.  She last worked at Gossett Country Kitchen in Forney, TX. She spent her time playing cards and dominoes at her church’s game day as well as with her family, who she loved very much.  Annette was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.

Annette was preceded in death by her husband Robert, Neal Spelce, Lester Fitzgerald;  parents, brother Billy Lawrence Miles, daughter Mary Carusi, son Thomas Fitzgerald, great grandson Caleb Allen and grand son-in-law Brian Moffatt.

Those left to cherish her memory are: daughter Rebecca Askew, step-children: Sandi Maness, Scott Ames and Michael Ryan; grandchildren: Michael Fitzgerald and wife Sara, Shelly Parker and husband James, Rusty Wolfe and wife DeeAnn, Dana Moffatt, Leslie Wingate and husband Kevin, Jay Akew and wife Teresa, Katy Duke and husband Josh; 11 great grandchildren; 7.5 great-great grandchildren; numerous extended family and friends who miss her dearly.
