Stephen Bruce Roberts

Stephen Bruce Roberts, 61, of Kaufman, TX went to be with the Lord on December 7, 2020. Stephen was born on August 24, 1959 to Arthur Bryant and Mary Oma Roberts in Kaufman. Steve grew up the spoiled rotten baby of his siblings. He grew up in Kemp and graduated from Kemp High School in 1977. Steve worked for Watch Guard/Motorola Solutions for the last 15 years and was a very hard working man. On February 6, 2016 he married Kristi Roberts at the First Assembly of God Church in Kaufman. Steve spent his whole life as a member of that church. He had a passion for music, being in a school band growing up, so he would volunteer to help in the sound booth every Sunday. He spent time fishing, camping, going to the beach and traveling; especially on cruises. He was a prankster and could tell a good joke. Steve would try new restaurants with all different types of cuisines, he wasn't afraid to try something new. He was also a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan. Most importantly, Steve loved his family and kids. Growing up and into his teens he enjoyed roller skating and began a tradition with his family and children. He would go to every baseball game and any event that his grandchildren were involved in and they became his life. His parents and sister Patricia Ann Roberts preceded him in death. Those left to cherish his memory are wife Kristi of Kaufman, TX, son Stephen Blake Roberts and wife Randi Lynn of Terrell, TX, daughter Cassie Leigh Escobedo and husband Arturo of Kaufman, TX; step-children: Lance Ivie of Kaufman, Emily Ivie and husband Jon Gerner of Ft. Worth, TX and Cassandra Ivie of Trinidad, TX; grandchildren: Stephen Bryson Roberts, Landry Juan Escobedo, Lincoln Bruce Escobedo and Cooper James Roberts; brothers: Arthur Roberts, Jr. and wife Mona of Kaufman, TX, Tommy Roberts and wife Brenda of Kaufman, TX and Mike Roberts and wife Suzan of Kemp, TX; sisters: Margaret "Sister" Lane and husband Eugene of Kaufman, TX, Mary Howell and husband Greg of Forney, TX and niece/sister Karen Pike and husband Mike of Kaufman, TX; numerous extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
