William Wayne Adamson, Jr.

William Wayne Adamson, Jr., affectionately knows as Bill, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love,  wisdom, and devotion to his family and church. Bill was born on October 9, 1944, in Mexia, Texas, to William Wayne Adamson, Sr., and Charlene Adamson. On June 27, 1964, in Dallas, Texas, he married Ann Adamson, and together they shared a loving life and built a beautiful family. Bill spent most of his professional life working at the Federal Reserve Bank before retiring. Outside of work, he enjoyed playing golf and most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed overlanding the trails in Colorado, with Ouray being his favorite place to go. He had a deep appreciation for the mountains and the beauty of the outdoors. He was a mountain man at heart, finding joy and peace in the trails, the scenery, and the adventures that Colorado had to offer.

Bill was a faithful member of Kaufman First Baptist Church, where he taught a Life Group class for more than 20 years. His faith was at the center of his life. He was passionate about studying the Bible and spent countless hours reading, preparing, and seeking a deeper understanding of God's Word. He encouraged everyone around him to seek wisdom, grow in their faith, and live according to the truth found in Scripture.

Bill's greatest joy was his family. He treasured the time spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, creating memories that will continue to live on through the generation. His love, wisdom, and steady faith will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Wayne and Charlene Adamson; his beloved wife, Ann Adamson; and his son-in-law, Gregory M. Creal. Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Billy-Guinn Adamson; his daughter, Tana "Creal" Phillips, and her husband, Chris; grandchildren Ethan Creal and wife, Nicole; LeaAnn Creal; Brennan Creal; Shelby Donoho; Jesse Adamson and wife, Kelsey; and Amy Adamson; great-grandchildren River Shaw, Ainsley Donoho, Swayze Donoho, Sage Creal, and Lane Adamson; along with numerous extended family members and dear friends.

Bill will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, faithful servant of God, teacher and friend. His life was a testimony to the importance of faith, family, and faithfully pursuing God's Word. Though he will be deeply missed, his family finds comfort in knowing that his faith has become sight and that his legacy of love and faith will continue through the generations.
