Willa Ailene Donoho

Willa "Ailene" Donoho (Shafer), aged 78, passed away on July 8, 2024, in Kaufman, Texas. Born on January 28, 1946, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Ailene dedicated her life to serving her God, her family, and her community.

Ailene was a devout member of the Red Oak Baptist Church in Kaufman, Texas, where she participated in various church activities including VBS and Choir. 

Ailene was a woman of many passions, gardening was her life. She had a particular fondness for roses, which she cultivated with great care and joy. Her love for plants extended to all aspects of her life, bringing beauty to her surroundings and those she loved. 

She is survived by her children, Debbie A. Murphy, David A. Donoho, and Margaret M. Braswell-Donoho, grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

 Ailene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Larry F. Donoho, and her sons, Forrest "Wayne" Donoho and Christopher E. Donoho.  

A memorial service to celebrate Ailene's life will be held at Red Oak Baptist Church, 8450 Farm to Market 429, Kaufman, TX, on July 27, 2024, at 10 am. The family has entrusted Parker Ashworth Funeral Home of Kaufman, Texas, with the arrangements. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Helping Angels of Kaufman County at www.helping-angels.org, an organization Ailene supported.

Ailene's legacy of faith, love, and kindness will be cherished and remembered by all who knew her.
