Vera Lorene Cobb

Vera Lorene Cobb, 87, of Kaufman, TX passed away on September 1, 2019.  Lorene was born on May 17, 1932 to Cephas Ezekiel and Eulah Fern Doolin in Selma, AR.  She went to high school in Arkansas then met the love of her life, James (Jimmy) Robert Cobb, after she began working at the telephone company.  In 1956, they married in Tunica, Mississippi then moved to the Dallas area to work and raise a family.  When her husband retired in 1983 from Western Electric, they moved to Kaufman. Lorene loved gardening, sewing, canning, cooking, cross stitching and crocheting. She spent most of her time taking care of her family, her husband and two daughters. Lorene was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Her parents and brothers Cecil Doolin and Eugene Doolin preceded her in death, as well as a third daughter who died before birth. Those left to cherish her memory are: her husband Jimmy, daughters: Sandra Ann Howard and husband Glenn of Pasadena, TX and Brenda Jean Pulis of Frankston, TX; brother Tommy Doolin and wife Mary of Bryant, AR, sister Ann Adcock of Benton, AR; grandchildren: Lindsay and Brian Howard, Christopher and Brendan Pulis; and numerous extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
