Royal Dean Winters, Sr.

Royal Dean Winters, Sr., 74, of Kaufman, TX went to be with the Lord on May 18, 2020. Royal was born on June 14, 1945 to Royal Franklin and Elvie Annette Winters in Temple, TX. He went to school in Vernon, TX graduating from Vernon High School. Royal married Sarah Jewell Frazier in Vernon on September 30, 1967, experiencing a life full of love for 52 years. He worked as a mechanic throughout his life; mostly with the Vernon ISD where he retired. Together they lived in Lubbock for 25 years before moving to Kaufman for the last 3 years. He loved spending time fishing and working with his hands on wood and leather. Royal was a member of c|Life Church in Kaufman. He was a beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Brother. His parents, 2 brothers, 1 sister and grandson Casey Waggoner preceded him in death. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Sarah, son Royal Dean Winters, Jr. and wife Tassie of Kaufman, TX, daughter Annette Waggoner and husband Travis of Lubbock, TX, grandchildren: Andrea Woolverton and husband Aaron, Corey Waggoner and wife Katelyn, Justin Winters, Rebekah Large, Faith Winters and Ziva Winters; great granchildren Lexie and Lacie Woolverton; and numerous extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
