Reeba Dean Reese, 93, was a resident of Seagoville, Texas, until she moved to Mesquite, Texas in 2018, where she passed away peacefully in her sleep early Sunday morning, March 28, 2021. Reeba was born March 14, 1928 to Dennis and Minnie Cockburn in Gravelly, Arkansas. She was blessed to have five sisters and one brother. Reeba worked for many years at Texas Instrument in Dallas, before retiring in 1970. After retiring, Reeba enjoyed doing multi activities such as painting, traveling and working in her flower garden. Growing beautiful flowers was her passion. Reeba loved sleepovers, playing various games such as 10,000, jax and cards with her great grandchildren although, she never let them win! Reeba is preceded in death by her husband, daughter Sharon Harper Gardiner, sons Ronnie Harper and Danny Harper, parents Dennis and Minnie Cockburn, and her five sisters Helma, Emma, Alma, Freda, and Sally. Reeba is survived by her son, Lannie Harper, daughter and her husband, Debbie and Garry Hawes and brother and his wife Dennis and Joyce Cockburn; grandchildren: Lewis and Tammy McCreary, Ronnie McCreary, Debra Harper Quijano, Sarah and Jeremy Agnew, Daniel and Stacy Harper, Amy and Rodney Jenkins, Michael and Nicole Hawes, and Chris and Karen Hawes; great grandchildren: Noah Agnew, Jonah and Ellie Harper, Justin, Emily, and Maddie Jenkins, Zack Busby, Hailey, Michael and Halle Hawes, Cassidy Urive, Katelyn and Cash Hawes, Kyana Lopez and Derek Quijano; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.
