Phillip Emmanuel Sundstrom, 75, of Kemp, TX went to be with the Lord on January 28, 2026. Phillip was born on March 1, 2026, to Alexander and Elizabeth Sundstrom in Hitchcock, TX. He grew up in Hitchcock, graduating from High School there in 1969. Phillip married Glenda Marie Sundstrom on December 8, 1969, and they spent a loving 51 years together before her passing in June 2021. He worked as a security guard throughout his career, working for AK securities with his wife before joining the Dallas Police Department as a PSO and working in the Courts and Policing building for 16 years. Phillip loved going to church and was a member of the Round Pen Cowboy Church. He enjoyed going to Shelley’s Café in Seven Points for breakfast and meeting up with his friends. Phillip’s most precious time was spent with his family. He was beloved Husband, Father and grandfather. Phillip was preceded in death by his parents, Alexander and Elizabeth, and wife Glenda. Those left to cherish his memory are children: David Wayne Sundstrom and wife Buffy and Joyce Ann Johnson; grandchildren: Jonathan Adam Johnson, Hunter Wayne Sundstrom, Colten William Sundstrom, Rylie Austin Sundstrom; brother Alex Sundstrom and wife Patty; nieces: Amy Perez and husband Eugene, and Sheila Reeves and husband Richard; numerous great nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
