Monica De Jesus Lopez Aguilar

Monica de Jesus Lopez Aguilar, of Grand Prairie, Tx passed away on April 12,2024. Monica was born on December 25, 1978, to Jose Teodoro Lopez and Marcelina Aguilar in Mexico, San Luis Potosí. After her father’s passing Monica’s mother decided to move with her children to the Dallas area in 1989. Where she met who would become Monica’s and her sibling’s father and protector Armando Valentin Gomez Sr. 

Monica met her now husband Francisco Salvador Menjivar on November 19, 1997, and thereafter spent 26 loving years together. She spent most of her days taking care of her family, loving her husband and raising three children. Monica also enjoyed road trips, traveling, listening to music, cooking for her family and watching butterflies. Monica favorite color was purple, and she absolutely loved all things with stars, sun and the moon. She was a wonderful and brave person who fought hard through all difficulties. Monica was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, sibling, and a child of God. 

Those left to cherish her memory are her mother Marcelina Aguilar, and husband Armando Valentin Gomez Sr.; husband Francisco, children: Esmeralda Menjivar and husband Jeremy Martin, Yessenia Menjivar and husband Jerry Morgan and Jose Menjivar Aguilar; siblings: Genaro Lopez, Emmanuel Alejandro Cuellar and life partner John Christopher Maldonado, Armando Sergio Gomez Jr. and wife Sabrina Vargas, Ignacio Valentin Gomez and wife Sonia Cruz, Magalie Gomez Aguilar and husband Camerin Smith; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
