Melissa (Lisa) Hauk

Melissa (Lisa) Hauk, age 58, passed from this life on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at her residence following an extended illness.

Melissa was born on February 25, 1965, in El Paso, Texas. Melissa loved crafting but was best known for her culinary talents as the head chef at the Especially for You Tea Room in Kaufman.

Those left to cherish her memories are her siblings Pamela Grant of Rice, Texas, Steve Hauk (spouse – Deanie) of Tellico, Texas, and Lori McWha (spouse – Cole) of Scurry, Texas; nieces Stephanie Hauk of Germany, Amanda Gonzales of California, Kaitlyn Bray of Cottonwood, Texas, Wyndi Baker of Houston, Texas, Kelsey Davis and Cassidy Kerr, both of Oak Grove, Texas.

Melissa was preceded in death by her parents, the late Billy Jack Smith, and the late Betty Jo (Turner) Smith; one son, Joseph Lee Hauk, and one nephew, Joseph "Cody" McWha.

The family will be having private family services at a later date.
