Marilu Johnston

Marilu Johnston, 78, of Kaufman, TX went to be with the Lord on April 26, 2025. Marilu was born on September 20, 1946, to Frank and Frances McCarver in Dallas, TX. She was raised in Pleasant Grove, near Dallas, and attended Woodrow Wilson High School where she graduated in 1964. Marilu loved being a mother and grandmother. She raised four children and when they had families of their own, she enjoyed playing with her grandchildren. The time she spent visiting with her family was her most precious time. Marilu did enjoy reading in her quiet time. On July 15, 1989, she married Thomas Johnston, and they spent 26 loving years together. Marilu was a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and Aunt. Her parents, Frank and Frances, and siblings: William McCarver and Dorothy McCarver preceded her in death. Those left to cherish her memory are children: Ray Rawlinson and wife Samantha, Rebecca Ober and husband Paul, Pamela Hassell and husband Craig, Dustin Johnston and wife Angelica, and Alicia Butler and husband Joseph; grandchildren: Madisen Rawlinson, Morgan Rawlinson, Stephen Ober, Haley Ober, Andrew Hassell, Blake Hassell, Tommie Johnston, Wayne Johnston, Brittney DeLuca and husband Nick and Travis Butler and wife Kelsi; great grandchild Brayden Ober; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
