Margaret Wynell Houston

Margaret Wynell Houston, 90, passed away on July 28, 2026, in Mesquite, Texas.

Wynell was born February 5, 1936, in Dallas, Texas, to Margaret and Shelby Stevens. She was raised in Crandall, Texas, alongside her sister, Tina Cousins.

On September 19, 1953, she married the love of her life, Robert Houston, in Combine, Texas. Wynell was a faithful member of the Church of Christ in Crandall. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with her family, and treasured the simple joys of life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Houston, and her parents, Margaret and Shelby Stevens.

She is survived by her sister, Tina Cousins of Crandall, Texas; her children, Marsha (Ricky) Davidson of Burneyville, Oklahoma, Holton (Diane) Houston of Brownwood, Texas, Phil (Keri) Houston of Scurry, Texas, and Steve (Tammy) Houston of Crandall, Texas. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren and 3 on the way.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association.
