Lucille Davis

Lucille Davis, 91, of Dallas, TX passed away on June 12, 2026, with family by her side. Lucille was born on October 21, 1934, to Othell and Bernice Collins in Greenville, TX. Born in Greenville, she moved to Dallas in the 40's where she attended Sunset High School and graduated in 1952. On March 26, 1954, she married Raymond (Buddy) Keith Davis and they spent a loving 62 years together before he passed away on May 15, 2016. Lucille and Buddy's family began to grow, and she stayed home to take care of the home and raise her kids. During those years she would babysit many other children through the years. When her 2 children moved from the home she went to work as a court clerk in Dallas, TX. Lucille retired from the court in 1998. She would pass her time by taking care of her african violets and orchids and enjoyed playing the piano when she was younger. Lucille loved to cook, she would gather all her family together, especially around holidays and make a great meal for everybody and spend time with them. Her greatest joy in life was her children, Jeanne and Jeff, her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and all the rest of her family. Lucille was a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Othell and Bernice, and husband Raymond. Those left to cherish her memory are children: Jeff Davis and wife Lori and Jeanne Newell and husband Glenn; grandchildren: Jessica Davis and fiancée Garrett Hardey, Ashley Thompson and husband Justin, Kaitey Day and husband Caleb, Callie Reyes and husband Scott, Samuel Garrison, Heather Newell, Garrett Newell, Tyler Newell and wife Tiffany; great grandchildren: Leigha Kenzie Newell, Aiden Newell, Bo Newell, Emma Newell, Lyla Newell, Tatum Newell, Londyn Brittain, Cooper Day, Noah Hardey, Madison Bellanger, Jamie Bellanger, and Kaydon Bellanger; numerous aunts, uncles and extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
