Lola Louise Hanson

Lola Louise Hanson, 77, of Athens, TX went to be with the Lord on June 10, 2024.  Lola was born on April 11, 1947, to Leonard and Lola Mae Higgins in Dallas, TX.  She grew up in Dallas but settled in the Kaufman area in 1987.  Lola worked at 7/11 in Kaufman for several years.  She enjoyed playing bingo, spending time painting and other arts and crafts, and going to the casinos.  Lola never met a stranger and was a busy body, always trying to help.  Her most precious time was spent with her family and friends, as she was a beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Sister.  Her parents, Leonard and Lola, husband James Otis Hanson, Jr., sons: James Otis Hanson, III and Steven Kyle Hanson, great grandchild Karson James Nail and sister Linda Lee Hughes preceded her in death.  Those left to cherish her memory are daughters: Shirley Huff and husband Jimmy of Carrolton, TX and Barbara Sutton and husband Kenneth of Kaufman, TX; sister Laneta Lynne Cooper, 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and a few nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
