Linda Paulette Moore, age 78, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2026, at her home in Scurry, Texas, surrounded by her family.
She was born on July 14, 1947, in McKinney, Texas, to Claud Anderson and Lucille Craver Anderson. Linda lived a full, vibrant life centered on faith, family, and an unwavering love for others. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all she loved.
An avid churchgoer, Linda’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. She poured her heart into her community, teaching and inspiring countless children over the years in her Sunday school classes. Her devotion ran deep, and she quietly served her congregation by caring for the church building itself for many years.
She deeply loved having her family together and had a special way of making anyone feel welcome. She opened her heart and her home to everyone, ensuring that no one ever felt like a stranger. Above all, she put her family first, dedicating her life to their happiness and well-being. For many years, she provided deeply devoted, tender care for her husband, embodying the truest definition of unconditional love.
When she wasn't serving others, Linda could be found bringing her family together around the table for her favorite pastime. She loved playing board games and card games, filling the room with laughter, friendly competition, and cherished memories. In quieter moments, she found great joy in nature, spending peaceful hours bird watching, planting flowers, and tending to her garden.
Linda leaves behind a legacy of kindness, devotion, and a family that will forever carry her warmth in their hearts. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her daughters, Gail Cooper and Rhonda Dillingham and her husband, Thomas; her grandchildren, Brittani White and her husband, Jason; Bradley Cooper; Brandi Twyman and her husband, James; Matthew Dillingham; Kaitlyn Hardaway and her husband, Joshua; and Jonathan Dillingham; her great-grandchildren, Jaylan White, Jaron White, Jameson Twyman, Kannon Twyman, and Charlianne Hardaway; her brother, Ricky Anderson and his wife, Brenda; and numerous nieces and nephews, along with other extended family members and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Kenneth Moore; her parents, Claud and Lucille Anderson; her brothers, Ronnie Anderson and Robert Anderson; and her sister, Alice Faye Franklin.
