Kimberly Jo Swann, age 59, known well to most as “Kim,” was released from her earthly burdens on Good Friday, the 3rd day of April, in the Year of our Lord 2026. Her loved ones find going with Our Father on Good Friday to be one of the rarest and highest honors bestowed on one of faith.
She was born to the world in the morning of the winter solstice: December 21, 1966.
Her most favored, and storied accomplishments include the gift of life to her four children, and seven grandchildren in return. Her trip to Rome with her father as a young woman, every trip to the beach, her bright yellow Camaro, and every moment spent in the sun, smiling.
She was reunited in death with her greatly missed parents; Robert Burns, and Rosemary Burns; dearly remembered nephew, Eric Burns; her fun loving cousin, Judy Robinson; and more family than we may ever know in this life.
She is survived by her four endlessly loved children, Kelly Malone, Katie Yarbrough, Kristin Swann, and Darryl Swann Jr.; seven grandchildren, Micah Malone, Noah Malone, Ezekiel Malone, Judah Malone, Haven Yarbrough, Zeth Swann, and Zara Swann; the father of her children, Darryl Swann; two siblings, Larry Burns, and Kelly Hamilton; She is also survived by her beautiful nieces, Robin Burns, Tara Hamilton Voyles, and McKayla Larson; and her strong nephew Darian Hamilton; A most loved cat, Daisy; and a rescue dog, Doc; and many other loved ones.
A viewing and memorial service paying respect to Kim will be held on Friday, the 10th of April. At Parker Ashworth funeral home in Kaufman, Tx.
Viewing at 10 AM, memorial service at 11 AM. We invite all who know and love Kim to join us in honoring her.
We will accept flowers, however, we encourage each and everyone of you to plant the milkweed plant wherever you can. Do this in order to help provide for the future of the critically endangered Monarch butterflies, which she admired so dearly.
We also ask that you pray for the family, and the eternal soul of Kimberly Jo Swann. And give thanks that we all shall be reunited with her one day.
