JW Batchelor

JW Batchelor, 79, of Scurry, TX passed away on July 9, 2020 at home. JW was born on April 25, 1941 to James Wilmer and Susie Bell in Athens, TX. JW went to school in Cayuga and graduated in 1959 from Cayuga High School. He was a truck driver all his life and worked for Coca-Cola USA for 30 years before he retired. On August 23, 1969, he married Jerrie Stanley and they spent a loving 50 years together. JW loved to hunt, tell jokes, loved to talk, spent time gardening, and especially loved attending his grandkids sporting events. He rode motorcycles and was a part of the All American 74’s motorcycle club. He has lived in Scurry for 42 years. JW was a Mason for 35 years and a member of the Kaufman Lodge #726 located in Scurry, TX. His most valued memories was spent with his family. JW was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. Preceding him in death were his parents, son Billy Glenn Batchelor, daughters: Glenda Vain and LaDonna Allen Anderson, brothers: William Owen Batchelor and Johnny Batchelor, sister Mary Gatewood  and his beloved dog “Weezie”. Those left to cherish his memory are wife Jerrie of Scurry, TX, son Ricky Lynn Batchelor of Broaddus, TX, daughter: Keale Belinowski and husband Perry of New Waverly, TX and Carla Renee Ford and spouse Vicki of Mineola, TX; grandchildren: Donia Allen and husband Jerrod, Ashley Allen and husband Joaquin, Maile Dill and husband Clyde, Taken Belinowski, Taryn Belinowski, Bobby Allen and wife Sam, Craig Batchelor and wife Mersadez, Jayson Gabriel, Erin Gabriel; great grandchildren: Bradyn, Blake, Brent, Cade, Harley, Stormi, Alex, Dallas, Kamri, Jordon, Jacob, Tyler, Katelynn, Billy, Eli; great-great grandchildren: Hayden and Mikah; numerous extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
