Julie Ann Baker

January 28, 1957 — April 13, 2024

Julie Ann Baker (nee Johnson) died in the early morning hours of April 13, 2024 at her home in Kaufman, TX, of suspected heart attack or natural causes. Julie was born in Japan (as a U.S. Army dependent) on January 28, 1957 to Charles Eugene Johnson (b. Feb. 22, 1932 in Baltimore, Md., d. July 17, 1996 in Dale City, Va., buried at Quantico National Cemetery, Va.) and  Catherine Ann Johnson (later Shirley, nee Wright) (b. Mar. 15, 1930 in Buffalo, N.Y., d. May 12, 1996 in El Paso, Tex., buried at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, Tex.).

Julie loved animals, family, friends, and giving! She did not enjoy being in the spotlight, but she loved helping others. She loved to cook for her loved ones, particularly Mexican food and desserts, always served in enormous quantities! Her family and friends remember her as being unique in many ways, including her undying generosity and sense of humor. As a devout born-again Christian, Julie has longed to meet her Savior in heaven.
