Jovita G. Velasquez

Jovita G. Velasquez, 94, of Kaufman, TX went to be with the Lord on December 14, 2025. Jovita was born on January 11, 1931, to Julian Garfias and Eduvijes Becerra in Mexico. Jovita was married to Avelino Velasquez 30 plus years before his passing. She owned a small convenience store while she lived in Mexico. Her family moved to Kaufman in 1975, where she provided for and raised her family. Jovita loved her children and grandchildren and the time she spent with them was her most cherished moments. She was a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Sister. Her parents, Julian and Edurijes, son Julio Velasquez, grandson Uvaldo, siblings: Antonia, Estefania, and Esperanza preceded her in death. Those left to cherish her memory are children: Adelina Velasquez, Eva Velasquez, Saul Velasquez and wife Belinda, Eucario Velasquez and wife Irene, Avelino Velasquez, Jr., Lilia Saenz and husband Silvino, Sergio Velasquez and wife Maricela, Lorena Hernandez, and husband Porfirio, Leopoldo Velasquez, and Zulma Drake and husband Joseph; grandchildren: Roxanna, Alexandra, Christopher, Irma, Marbella, Brianna, Ethan, Miguel, David, Nicole, Daniel, Adriana, Erika, Marisol, Krystal, Chrissy, Christian, Sonja, Shelly, Annette, Alondra, Sergio, Jr., Julian, Maribel, Daniel E., Gloria, Joseph IV, Alexandre, Pierce, and Sophia; 27 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, siblings: Jesus and Guadalupe; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
