Jerry Holder

Jerry Holder, age 84, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2023, at the Kerens Care Center, in Kerens, Texas.

Jerry was born on August 2, 1938, in Palestine, Texas to his parents, the late Ernest and Billie Holder. Jerry was a man of many talents. He was a master electrician and owned several small businesses in the area. He loved metal detecting, was a history buff, and played drums and the stand-up bass.

Those left to cherish his memories are his son, Mike Holder (spouse – Shana) of Kaufman; three grandchildren, Davis Roycroft (spouse – Tessa) of Brownsboro, Texas; Sarah Hoffman (spouse – Jim) of Seagoville, Texas; and Ross Holder (spouse – Allison) of Irving, Texas.

Private family services for Jerry will be held later. The inurnment will be in John Starr Cemetery in Elkhart, Texas.

The staff at Parker-Ashworth Funeral Home is honored to assist Mike and his family with the arrangements for Jerry.
