Jerry Richard Beck

Jerry Richard Beck, 81, of Allen, TX passed away on August 13, 2020. Jerry was born on September 27, 1938 to Clarence Francis and Elsie Beck in Mt. Vernon, IL. Jerry moved to the Dallas area when he was seven, and went to school in Mesquite. After graduating from high school Jerry spent time in the Air Force. When his service was done, he became an electronics designer. He worked for Exxon Mobile and then went to work for Alcatel where he retired in 2005. He married Orene Beck on August 16, 1979 in Dallas, TX, and they spent a loving 41 years together. Jerry had many hobbies. He spent time building and refurbishing things, liked puzzles, scuba diving, and traveling. Jerry also had a private pilot's license and loved to fly. His most precious moments were spent with his family. His parents preceded him in death, but those left to cherish his memory are: his wife, Orene of Allen, TX, Sons: David Gray and wife Connie of Irving, TX, and Jason Gray of Lincoln, OR. Daughters: Teresa Beck and Jeri Beck; sister Carolyn Burk and her husband Paul of Wolfe City, TX, and Francis. He had many loving grandchildren too: Holly Sides, Kendrin Gray, Ivana Montero and husband Angel, and David Gray Jr. Jerry also had 11 great grandchildren. Numerous extended family and friends will miss him dearly.
