James Ray Stamper, Jr., 66, of Crandall, TX went to be with the Lord on October 11, 2025. James was born on August 16, 1959, to James Ray Sr. and Mary Etta Stamper in Dallas, TX. He moved to Crandall when he was 9 years old and graduated from Crandall High School in 1977. James went to LeTourneau University where he graduated with a bachelor's degree and then to East Texas A&M University where he received his master’s degree in business administration. On March 18, 1983, he married Donna Stamper, and they lived a loving 42 and a half years together. He worked for Potter Concrete for 32 years and won several Golden Trowel awards. James’s passion was telling people about Jesus while wearing one of his many Christian T-shirts daily. His most precious time was spent with his children and grandchildren, following them around whatever they were participating in. James was a member of the Central Baptist Church of Crandall and served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher for the adult classes. He was a beloved Husband, Son, Father, Grandfather and Brother. He was preceded in death by his father James Ray Stamper, Sr. Those left to cherish his memory are mother Mary, wife Donna, children: Danielle Hewett and husband Brandon, Andrew Stamper and Jordan Simpson, Aaron Stamper and wife Megan; grandchildren: Katelynn Schumpert, Kyleigh Schumpert, Lilyann Stamper and Brinley Hewett; sister Suzanne Richardson and husband David; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
