Ina Faye Sain was born to James Edward and Nona Mae Sain in Grandview Texas on December 11, 1930. Ina was the 9th of 13 children. Growing up, they lived on a farm and the older siblings helped take care of the younger siblings. When she was in grade school, they moved from Grandview to Irving where she met Herschel Melvin Reynolds. They married on May 15, 1948 in Dallas Texas and had three children: Melvin Eugene, Janis Faye and Ira Alan. In 1979, Ina and Herschel moved to the Kaufman area following her daughter Janice and her family. Shortly after, her son Gene and his family moved to Scurry, followed by her son Alan and his family. You see, family is what mattered. Family was her everything. She loved to host family reunions, cookouts and grandkids’ birthday parties at the pool. She loved to cook and cooked everything from scratch. No measuring, just a dash of this and a pinch of that. Her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren were her pride a joy. If there was a football game, volleyball game, cheer competition, archery tournament, band competition or whatever, she was there cheering them on in her spirit gear from head to toe. If you ever met Granny, you loved her, and she loved you.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herschel Melvin Reynolds and her son, Ira Alan Reynolds. She will be missed by a huge family including her son, Melvin Eugene Reynolds and wife Sheila, her daughter Janis Faye Boyd and husband Dean. Granny’s grandchildren include: Darla Jonas, Jennifer Murrey, Keith Reynolds, Brian Boyd, Craig Reynolds, Christi Reynolds, Adriann Johnson and Jessica Reynolds. Her fifteen great-grandchildren are: Aaron, Amber, Linzi, Ashley, Audra, Trenton, Taylor, Blain, Natalie, Jaxon, Charlie, Harley, Hudson, Emma and Liam. Two great-great grandchildren: Declan and Aspyn and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
