Glenn Aaron Schoen

Glenn Aaron Schoen, 77, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, TX.

Glenn was born October 26, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois. He was the son of Philip and Mildred Schoen.

Glenn graduated from Main East High School in Morton Grove, IL. Glenn married Carol on July 18, 1970. They remained happily married for 55 years.

Glenn was employed as an auto mechanic for many years. He also worked construction, raced dirt track and worked as an auto service warranty claims adjuster for First Extended.

Glenn, with his wife Carol, also bred and raised cutting and reining horses and cows as a side buisness.

Glenn loved to fix cars and earned the nickname “Yoda” for his uncanny ability to diagnose engine problems that no one else could figure out.

Glenn also loved to fish, coach his kids' sports teams and was a big NASCAR and Chicago Bears fan.

Glenn is survived by his loving wife, Carol Schoen, their children: Philip (Audrey) Schoen of Eustace, Dawn (Brian) Boyd of Kemp, grandchildren: Kelsey (Michael) Duncan, Makenna (Bryce) Winn, Natalie Boyd and Charlie Boyd, great grand children: Liam and Harper Duncan and Easton and Paisleigh Winn.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents.
