Glenda Woolverton

Glenda Woolverton of Scurry, Texas, went to be with the Lord on December 31,2022. She was born on July 16, 1950, to John and Annie Cox in Athens, Texas. She was the life of the party, jokester, middle child of 9, best mom ever, World’s Best Grandmother, friend to all, and loved everyone. She was full of life and spirit and never met a stranger. She loved anything that involved being with her family. She served in the Awana program for several years and won the hearts of many children that still to this day call her Linga.  We will miss her pranks, Oreos and buttermilk or salted tea, but those things keep us smiling. She loved the fall foliage, her puppy Aspen was her love and companion, junk food, and Coca Cola. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Terry, and baby girl Theresa. Those left to cherish her memory are her son Todd Woolverton of Ft. Worth, son and daughter John and Jennifer Seltzer of Scurry, grandchildren Chloe and Conner McMahan, Gracie White, Taeghen Woolverton, and Krischan Woolverton, Sisters and Brother in Laws Larry and Essie Mae Fryer, Wayne and Doris Mathis, Betty Anthony, Larry and Ann Lester and Cozette Duke. Brothers and sisters in law JC (Brother) and Kathy Cox, Terry and Jennifer Cox, and Gary and Laurel Cox. Also, many nieces and nephews and an abundance of friends.

Parker-Ashworth Funeral Home is honored to assist her family with Glenda's arrangements.
