Gailand Woody

Gailand Woody, 71, of Crandall, TX went to be with the Lord on July 3, 2025. Gailand was born on September 5, 1953, to James and Barbara Woody in Dallas, TX. Gailand lived in New Mexico, while his dad was preaching there, but his family moved back to the Dallas area where he attended Seagoville High School and graduated in 1971. He worked as a Plumber for his career and became a Master Plumber. He was employed by Baylor Dental College and Ron Stanley’s Plumbing from which he retired but also had his own Woody’s Plumbing company. On October 17, 1975, he married Cindy Flint Woody, and they spent a loving 49 years together. Gailand enjoyed dancing, listening to country music, and watching westerns, football and basketball on TV. You could often catch him in his garden taking care of his plants and vegetables. Gailand was the life of any party, always asking for the music to be turned up, and mentioned how he would want his family to celebrate his life instead of being sad. He was a beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and Brother. His parents, James and Barbara, preceded him in death. Those left to cherish his memory are wife, Cindy, children: Stephanie Rene Reyes and husband John, and Cody Woody and wife Brooke; grandchildren: Mckenzie, McKayla, Kade, Kylie, Alli, and Aiden; great grandchildren: Lundynn and Preston; siblings: Pam Lugo and Ronald Woody; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
