In Loving Memory of Esteban Palacios Ponce

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Esteban Palacios Ponce, who was born on September 2, 1955, in Aguacatillos, Rayon, San Luis Potosí, Mexico, and entered eternal rest on September 20, 2025.

Esteban grew up in San Luis Potosí and later moved to Tampico, Tamaulipas, where he began his married life with his beloved wife, Sofía, who preceded him in death in 2023. Together, they built a beautiful family. Their first son, Eric, was born in 1979, followed by their daughter, Laura Patricia, in 1981. In 1984, Esteban began working as a welder in Texas, traveling back and forth to support his family. In 1990, he moved his family to Kaufman, Texas, where their youngest children, María and Marco, were born.

He worked for many years as a welder at Falcon Steel and later Trinity Industries in Dallas, and also enjoyed working as a landscaper. Esteban instilled in his children the values of hard work and dedication, always teaching by example. He supported his wife Sofía in pursuing her dream of starting a housecleaning business, and together they eventually accomplished another dream, building their family home. He had a deep passion for education and felt immense pride in seeing his children graduate, a reflection of his love and hope for their future.

Esteban was blessed with eight grandchildren, all of whom he adored. He loved children, spoiled his grandchildren, and found great joy in their laughter and company. A very social man, Esteban had many friends. He will be remembered for his kindness, his willingness to help others, his joyful spirit, and his love of life.

Esteban’s life was a testament to love, family, and perseverance. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Con profunda tristeza anunciamos el fallecimiento de Esteban Palacios Ponce, nacido el 2 de septiembre de 1955 en Aguacatillos, Rayón, San Luis Potosí, México, y quien partió a la eternidad el 20 de Septiembre de 2025.

Esteban creció en San Luis Potosí y más tarde se mudó a Tampico, Tamaulipas, donde comenzó su vida matrimonial con su querida esposa, Sofía, quien falleció en 2023. Juntos formaron una hermosa familia. Su primer hijo, Eric, nació en 1979, seguido por su hija, Laura Patricia, en 1981. En 1984, Esteban comenzó a trabajar como soldador en Texas, viajando constantemente para apoyar a su familia. En 1990, se mudó con ellos a Kaufman, Texas, donde nacieron sus hijos menores, María y Marco.

Trabajó muchos años como soldador en Falcon Steel y más tarde en Trinity Industrias en Dallas. También se dedicó a la jardinería. Esteban inculcó en sus hijos los valores de trabajo y dedicación, siempre enseñando con su ejemplo. Apoyó a su esposa Sofía en su sueño de iniciar un negocio de limpieza de casas, y juntos lograron también otro sueño, construir el hogar familiar. Tenía una gran pasión por la educación y sentía un profundo orgullo al ver a sus hijos graduarse, reflejo de su amor y esperanza por su futuro.

Esteban fue bendecido con ocho nietos, a quienes amaba profundamente. Le encantaban los niños y disfrutaba al máximo al consentir y alegrar a sus nietos. Era un hombre muy sociable, con muchos amigos. Será recordado por su bondad, su disposición para ayudar, su carácter alegre, y su amor por la vida.

La vida de Esteban fue un ejemplo de amor, perseverancia y entrega a su familia. Será profundamente extrañado por su familia, amigos y todos los que tuvieron la dicha de conocerlo.
