Doris Frieda Davis

Doris Frieda Davis, 80, of Kaufman, TX passed away on November 1, 2026. Doris was born on February 22, 1946 to Kurt and Hildegard Jahn in Eschwege, Germany. She lived in Germany, finishing school, until she met James C. Davis, Jr., while he was stationed in Germany. He brought her to the states to live with some of her family here, and on June 26, 1965 the two would get married. They would have a loving 61 years together, having two daughters, a son, 6 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Doris loved her family very much and cherished every moment with them. She did enjoy traveling, going to California for Davis family reunions and to Pennsylvania to visit her family there. In her quiet time in addition to reading, she also listened to stories online. Doris was a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Sister. Her parents, Kurt and Hildegard, and son Robert Davis, preceded her in death. Those left to cherish her memory are husband, Jim, daughters: Susan Wilcox and Mary Peterson; grandchildren: Daniel Wilcox, Antigua Salmeron and husband Hugo, Austin Banks and wife Jennifer, Stephany Peterson, Zane Peterson, and Clint Davis; great grandchildren: Rutger Banks and Oliver Banks; she grew up with 5 siblings, and many numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
