Dewey Albert McDaniel

Dewey Albert McDaniel, 77, of Kaufman, TX passed away on December 6, 2023, at home.  Dewey was born on March 12, 1946, to Frank and Ruth McDaniel in Pueblo, CO.  He grew up in Pueblo before moving a couple of times and settled in Kaufman, TX 35 years ago.  He was a jack of trades, but mostly worked in transportation as a truck driver and management.  Dewey would offer a helping hand to any person.  He enjoyed spending time working in the yard and loved his Indian flowers, working with his hands, building and woodwork, and playing poker on Friday Nights. On November 3, 1963, Dewey married Joyce Taylor and they spent a loving 60 years together. He was a beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Brother.  His parents, Frank and Ruth, and siblings: Joann Knisley, Gerald McDaniel, Debbie Mire and Delores LaBlanc preceded him in death.  Those left to cherish his memory is his wife, Joyce McDaniel, whom he loved very much; children: Randy McDaniel and wife Lisa, Sandy Cherry, Steve McDaniel and wife Tracy, Darren McDaniel and wife Melisa, Jason McDaniel and wife Kimberly, Greg McDaniel and wife Candice and April O’Neill and husband John III; grandchildren: Kenny, Corey, Chris, Chrissy, Justin, Katherine, Austin, Cheryl, Ashley, Braxton, Paige, Heather, Andrew, Jakob, Dana, Katie, Taylor, Dayten, Aidan, Sabrina, Mike, Trevor, Tarah, Ciara, Karrissa, Hanna, Isabella, Lanie and Chase; 21 great grandchildren, brother Ronnie McDaniel and wife Donna, sister-in-law Charlotte McDaniel, nephews Raymond McDaniel and Gary Lablanc; numerous other family and friends who will miss him dearly.
