Dean Ellis Clemmons

Dean Ellis Clemmons, 78, of Rosser, TX passed away on August 16, 2022, in Kaufman.  Dean was born on May 30, 1944, to Clarence and Marie Clemmons in Alvarado, TX.  He was raised in Rosser, TX and lived there his entire life.  Dean was on the Rosser Volunteer Fire Department, a former Alderman on the Rosser City Council, as well as a member of the First Baptist Church of Rosser.  He worked for the City of Dallas for over 25 years as a supervisor in the sanitation department, before retiring from there. He went on to work for Forney ISD as a maintenance supervisor.  Dean owned and operated Clemmons Automotive in Rosser.  Dean was a very good mechanic, a Ford enthusiast, who enjoyed working on cars and trucks.  He also spent time doing yard work and volunteered his time to help his neighbor’s mow their yards. His most precious time was spent with his family, especially his grandkids, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. Dean was a beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Brother.  His parents, Clarence and Marie, wife Carrie Lou Clemmons, and 13 siblings preceded him death.  Those left to cherish his memory are children: Barry Clemmons and wife Lisa, Christina Clemmons, granddaughter Britney, as well as  daughters Vonnie Lee, Lucy Haning, Delia Voss son Bennie Lee and grandchild whom he raised as his own Legend Lee; nephew Randy Curtis along with multiple grandchildren including Joni Reyes, Misti Coy, Bennie Lee, Adam Lee, Sammie Shay Lee, Jayme Burley, Elijah Burley, Amanda Voss, and great grandchildren, sister Kathy Duncan and husband Butch,  and their daughter Jenny. Dean also leaves behind many more loving nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
