David Eugene Sudduth, 75, of Mesquite, TX passed away on May 7, 2023, in Dallas. David was born on May 30, 1947, to Gene and Merlene Sudduth in Hillsboro, TX. He was raised in Mesquite and after graduating from Mesquite High School in 1965, he joined the Air Force. While stationed at Tyndall AFB in Florida David made Staff Sergeant and worked as refrigerant, air-conditioning specialist, and cryogenic fluids production specialist. While stationed at Tyndall AFB in Florida he met Judy Sims and was engaged before he was sent to Johnston Island in the Pacific for a year. Once state side he married Judy on July 26, 1969 in Port St. Joe, FL. They have spent a loving 53 years together and raised two daughters in Mesquite. He operated an HVAC business with his dad for many years, but has worked for Terrell ISD for the past 35 years. He enjoyed restoring old photos, working in his yard and never came across anything he could not fix. He most loved his time with his family. David was a beloved Husband, Father, PAPA and Brother. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Merlene, and sister Donna. Those left to cherish his memory are wife Judy of Mesquite, TX, daughters: Pam Watson and husband Robert of Royse City, TX and Kathy Collins and husband Tim of Kaufman, TX; grandchildren: Jacob, Bobby, Megan, Zachary and John-David; sister: Shirley Kennemer, brother-in-law Jeff Brasher, nephews Chris Walters and Colin Brasher, niece Beth Selman, Aunt Peggy Mosley, numerous extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
