Connie Gail Wood

Connie Gail Wood, 74, of Kaufman, TX passed away on January 29, 2022 in Kaufman.  Connie was born on January 27, 1948 to Lee Dalton and Mary Louise Crow Alexander in Dallas, TX.  She grew up in the Dallas area, were she graduated from Samuel High School in 1965.  Connie married Donald Wayne Wood on January 16, 1966 in Glen Rose, TX.  She traveled with him and her girls with the Air Force until he retired to Dallas, Texas. She was a stay at home mom who enjoyed taking care of her family. She enjoyed bowling, going out to eat, attending church; but her most precious time was spent with her grandkids and great grandkids who she loved very much.  She is preceded in death by her husband Donald W. Wood parents Dalton Lee Alexander and Mary Louise Alexander a grandson and great granddaughter Erica Kines. Those left to cherish her memory are her Step-Parents Garvin and Jean Pulley daughters: Page Holloway and husband Randall, Tammy Mattei and husband Emile and Lillian Ashabranner and husband Stephen; grandchildren: Randall Holloway, Jr. and wife Helen, Kara Kines and husband Justin, Stephanie Petra and husband Colten, Denver Lagard and wife Bre, Brittany Davis and husband Rusty and Tesla Savell and husband Trae; great grandchildren: Emma, Hailey, Parker, Charlotte, Randall III, Raylynn, Brittlynn, Russell III, Landon, Emry, Ezra, Teslee, Taylee, Tinslee and Tuff; brothers: Michael Laray Alexander and spouse Miles Frey, Dalvin Pulley and Dillion Pulley; sisters Charity Pulley and Natosha Pully Page and her husband Lenny; numerous extended family and friends who will miss her dearly. A graveside service will be held at the DFW National Cemetery on Friday, February 11th, at 10am; everyone will need to arrive 15 minutes early.
