It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Chris Voss, a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend whose warmth, humor, and deep love for family touched the lives of all who knew him. Chris was born on October 19, 1988, and went home to be with the Lord on July 14, 2025, at the age of 36.
Chris is lovingly survived by his father, Larry Voss Sr; mother Cindy Monroe (stepfather Michael); sister Kim Gordon (brother-in-law Shawn); brother Tyler Voss; grandmother Barbara Voss; nieces Destiny and Emily; nephew Dylan; cousins Sharon Rice (Daniel) and Amanda Voss. He also leaves behind his aunts and uncles: Mark and Lacey Booe; William and Cindy Booe; Kelly Booe; Debbie Booe; as well as many other cousins and extended family members and close friends who cherished and loved him dearly.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Larry Voss Jr; his grandfathers Bill Voss and James Booe; grandmother Jackie Booe; uncles Dennis Voss, Robert Voss, and James Booe; aunt Linda Voss.
Chris had a deep passion for sports and cherished the simple joys of life. Sundays were often spent watching NASCAR and cheering on his favorite NFL team. A proud Dallas Cowboys and University of Texas fan, Chris also found joy in playing fantasy football with his family-always keeping things competitive and full of laughter. He loved attending Texas Rangers games with family and playing Texas Hold ‘Em on weekends. More than anything, Chris enjoyed spending time with his best friend, Daniel Rice, who nicknamed him “Cheis” – a name that stuck and always brought a smile.
Chris’ legacy is one of loyalty, laughter, and a love for family and friends that never wavered. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his kind heart and spirited soul.
