Chris Smith

Chris Smith, age 61, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023, at Sunflower Park Health Care in Kaufman.

Chris was born on October 22, 1961, in Terrell, Texas, to his parents, John R. Smith of Kaufman, and the late Patricia Griggs Smith. Chris was a Baptist by faith and worked as a carpenter in the surrounding area, building residential homes for many years.

Those left to cherish his memories are his daughters, Kimi Price (spouse – Jason) of Kaufman, and Jessica Shackleford of Texas, and his father, John R. Smith of Kaufman. Chris is survived by 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia, his wife Karen Shackleford Smith, and Allen Shackleford.

Private services will be held for Chris later.
