Charles William Orman

Charles William Orman, a dedicated soul who spent over three decades serving as the fire chief at the Rosser Volunteer Fire Department, has passed away. His unwavering commitment to his community and his tireless efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of others leave an indelible mark on those who had the privilege of knowing him.
 
Born in Ennis, Texas, on September 9, 1940, Charles's journey through life was one defined by selflessness and courage. His leadership of the fire department was marked by a deep sense of responsibility and a genuine concern for the welfare of those around him. Through his actions, he embodied the true spirit of service.
 
In both joyous and challenging times, Charles stood as a pillar of strength for his family. His memory will forever be cherished by his wife of 59 years, Lana, daughters Cheryl Manrique (spouse – Carlos); Sandy Boozer (spouse – Oliver), and Robin Orman; a son Kenneth Orman (spouse – Tammy) ; grandchildren Lauren Boozer, Justin Thompson (spouse – Ashley), Abby Davis (spouse – Cody), Kinsey Boozer, Jessie Shay Thompson and Jake Pierce, Jordan Thompson, Macy Orman, Koby Doherty, Kloe Doherty, Carlie Orman, Bryant Manrique (spouse – Elizabeth), Lauren Manrique, Julia and Tyler Marshall; great grandchildren Kaydon Bellinger, Madison Bellinger, Jamison Thompson, Travis Thompson, Jamie Bellinger, Wyatt Thompson, Dayton Davis, Baker Doherty, Ozzy Doherty, and Troy Marshall; brother Glynn Orman (spouse – Vicky), sister-in-law Claudine Orman, and his brothers-in-law Virgil Glen McMahen (spouse – Carlene), Ronnie McMahen (spouse Carol), and Kenneth Morgan (spouse – Tina).

 

Preceding him in death were his parents, Horace and Jessie Lynn Orman, by his brother Lanny Orman, granddaughter Krissy-Boswell-Thompson, and his uncle Royce Orman.


A man of integrity and honor, Charles William Orman's presence will be deeply missed. The services to honor his life will take place at Parker - Ashworth Funeral Home in Kaufman, Texas, with visitation scheduled for Tuesday, March 12 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 13 at 11:00 AM, at the funeral home with Brother Todd Peavy officiating. Interment will follow at Cottonwood Cemetery in Scurry, Texas.
 
May we carry forward the values he so passionately lived by and find solace in the memories we shared with him. Charles may have left this world, but his legacy of service and compassion will continue to inspire all those whose lives he touched.
