Charles Ray Cox, 80, of Kaufman, TX passed away on April 2, 2024.  Charles was born on April 4, 1943, to Lonnie and Edna Cox in Terrell, TX.  He grew up in Kaufman, graduating from Kaufman High School.  Charles married Linda Cox on June 6, 1963, and they spent a loving 58 years together before she passed in 2021.  While earning his master’s degree he began to teach and coach; for 34 years he taught in the Dallas ISD before he retired.  He spent his time playing golf, going to the horse races and watching the Los Angeles Dodgers.  Charles’ most precious time was spent with his family.  He was a beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Brother.  His parents, Lonnie and Edna, and wife Linda preceded him in death.  Those left to cherish his memory are children: Charles Cox and wife Christy and Karen Andrus and husband Stuart; grandchildren: Ashleigh Andrus, Michael Andrus and fiancée Joleigh Michaels, Carly Cox and Carson Cox; sister Norma Tharp and husband Michael, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
