Cassie's career spanned an astounding forty years as a Claims Administrator for Mutual of Omaha. Her commitment to her work was evident to all who had the pleasure of interacting with her over the years. Known for her attention to detail and compassionate nature, Cassie built a reputation for going above and beyond for her clients. Her dedication and unwavering professionalism earned her the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Cassie embraced various hobbies and interests that brought her great joy. She possessed a creative spirit and spent countless hours quilting, sewing, crocheting, and knitting beautiful pieces that brought warmth to many hearts. Additionally, Cassie was an active member of the Kaufman County Senior Citizens events—a place where she could share laughter, stories, and cherished moments with her dear friends.

In celebration of Cassie's life and the love she shared with those around her, a visitation will take place at Parker - Ashworth Funeral Home in Kaufman on February 3rd, 2024, from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm. A celebration of her life will be held at 4:00 pm, following the visitation. This gathering will serve as an opportunity for family members, friends, and community members to come together to honor Cassie's memory and find solace in each other's company.

Cassie leaves behind a loving family that will forever hold her close in their hearts. She is survived by several nieces, nephews, and extended family members who were touched by her kindness and generosity throughout their lives.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Bud Lee Stroud. They shared a deep love and unwavering commitment to one another, exemplifying the meaning of a true partnership. Cassie's family takes comfort in knowing that she and Bud are now reunited, forever together in eternal peace.

Cassie was preceded in death by her siblings: Maurice Marty, Jesse Lee Ward, Charles N. Ward, Morris "Buck" Ward, and her parents Jess and Leila (Ayers) Ward.

As we mourn the loss of Cassie Mae Stroud, let us also remember the incredible legacy she leaves behind. She touched the lives of many and will be fondly remembered for her warm heart, unwavering kindness, and steadfast dedication.
