Calvin Jordan, 90, of Forney, TX passed away on July 29, 2021. He was born on April 21, 1931 to James C. and Pearl Mae (Bryant) Jordan in Roxton, TX. Hazel Ruth Jordan, 87, of Forney, passed away on August 2, 2021. Hazel was born on April 9, 1934 to Crockett and Fannie Fortner in Scurry, TX. Calvin and Hazel (Fortner) was married on December 23, 1950 in Kaufman, TX and they spent 70 wonderful years together. Calvin never met a stranger and always had a smile on his face. He enjoyed playing dominoes, deer hunting and fishing. After his time in the Army he worked for the postal service and had his own lawn care company. He was a decorated war hero, a husband, a selfless father, gentle grandfather, charming and funny great grandfather, and a hard worker; who showed everyone in his life respect, generosity, kindness, warmth and love. Hazel enjoyed cooking, gardening and watching TV, especially General Hospital. She was pure, kind, empathetic, compassionate, and loving to everyone she met. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Together they were in bowling leagues and played cards with their family and neighbors. Their parents, Calvin's siblings: Irene, Lola and Bob; Hazel's siblings: Lee, Buster, Christeen, Jewel, Arlene, Gene, Raymond and Pearl preceded them in death. Those left to cherish their memories are: daughters: Debra Jordan Garland and husband Wally, Brenda Peacock and husband David and Denise Beleele and husband Dennis; son Daryl Jordan and life partner Ralph; grandchildren: Sheila Peacock and husband Dave, Dustin Gilmore, Misti Nalls and husband Brad, Coley Beleele and wife Alisha and Rachel Tanner Jordan; great grandchildren: Kameron Peacock, Darrell Peacock, Parker Nalls and Pheonix Nalls; Calvin's siblings: Bertha McCracken, Patsy Knowles, Ann Meuir and Shirley Tallant; numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends who will miss them dearly.
