Brenda Breazeale

Brenda passed away on Monday, September 21, 2026. She was born on November 11, 1945, in Athens, Texas.

Brenda attended Martins Mill High School and married Maxie Joe on July 25, 1964. Together, they shared 52 years of marriage and built a life centered around family.

Brenda found great joy in the simple things in life. Her faith was important to her, and she loved attending Sunday School. She enjoyed outings with her friends, spending time with her beloved miniature dachshund, Sugar, and there was nothing quite like a good home-grown tomato in her eyes.

At home, Brenda enjoyed watching television game shows and Gunsmoke, but she was also a devoted wrestling fan. She faithfully tuned in twice a week and even attended live wrestling matches for her birthday one year, sitting in the front row, of course. Those who were fortunate enough to be there will always remember the fun of watching her get caught up in the excitement, shaking her cane and letting the wrestlers she wasn't particularly fond of know exactly what she thought of them. It was a side of Brenda that brought plenty of laughter and created memories her family will cherish forever.

It was also not uncommon to find Brenda enjoying a cold Dr. Pepper or Big Red, her drinks of choice.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Odie and Irene; her sisters, Markie and Mildred; her husband of 52 years, Maxie Joe; and her granddaughter, Danielle.

She is survived by her brother, Jerry Don; her son, Ricky, and his wife, Sherrel; her daughter, Debbie, and her husband, Harold; her granddaughters, Brittany and her husband, Scott, Haley and her husband, Noah, Heather and her husband, Mike, and Falon and her husband, Jeff; and her grandson, Jake, and his wife, Morgan.

Brenda's legacy also lives on through her 11 great-grandchildren.

She leaves behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, and love that will continue to be treasured by all who knew and loved her.
