Billie Waits

Billie Waits, 74, of Kaufman, TX went to be with the Lord on March 24, 2020. Billie was born to Buford and Georgia Carpenter on May 31, 1945 in Scurry. She was raised and went to school in Waldron, AR. They moved back to the Kaufman area in 1964. Billie married Earnest Waits on January 3, 1964. She worked for the City of Dallas for 20 years in the property division and then had her own real estate appraisal company for 20 years. In her free time she was an avid bowler and was on a team with people from her church. She has gone to the Blackjack Baptist Church for the last couple of years. Her parents, husband, sisters Robbie Kovar and Lindy Isabell preceded her in death. Those left to cherish her memory are her brother Buford Carpenter, Jr. of Farmers Branch, TX and sister Mary Hatcher and husband Billy of Gun Barrell City, TX; numerous extended family and friends who will miss her dearly. Due to current conditions specified by the CDC, funeral home staff will allow 10 people at one time in the building for the Gathering.
