Aimee Joelle Morales

In loving memory of Aimee Joelle Morales who passed on April 1, 2022, after a yearlong and courageous fight against cancer. Aimee was born in Topeka, KS, on a October 9, 1970, to her loving parents Raul and Dala Morales. As a child Aimee moved with her family to Sherman, TX, in 1975; later moving to Houston, TX, in 1979. After a brief stay in Houston, TX, Aimee moved with her family, to Kaufman, TX, in 1980, where she settled her roots and continued living until, she passed. Aimee is known and loved by many in Kaufman, TX. She graduated from Kaufman High School in May of 1989. She enrolled at SMU and attended for two (2) years, before leaving to return to Kaufman, TX, to start her own family. With a heart for serving others, Aimee worked as a Dispatcher for Kaufman Police Department and the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office. Aimee eventually left the Sheriff’s Office, and began working as a bartender at Adair’s Saloon, in Dallas, TX, where she became a familiar and friendly face for 10 years. Although she loved meeting new faces day in and day out, her passion to serve others, returned her to where her journey had begun. In 2017, Aimee became a Dispatcher, for Dallas Police Department. It is there, she spent the last 5 years working as a Senior Dispatcher and Trainer for the Dallas Police Department.

Aimee was a daughter, a sister, a mother, a friend, and a fighter. Aimee was a woman of faith, a woman that so often put the needs of others before her own. She was the friend you wanted in your corner when life became a struggle as she was loyal and always made one feel they were never fighting their battle alone. Even during her own battle, Aimee’s smile and kindness never wavered. Aimee is survived by her sons, Stephen Morales and Hunter Morales, Stephen’s fiancé, Shania Baker, her mother Dala Morales, her brother Joel Morales, her sister Angela Morales, her niece Amaiah Morales and her nephew Darius McGee.

Aimee is survived by her uncles Rafael Morales and Randy Osborn; her aunts, Maria Wells, Ginger Lansdell, Lynn Gillmore and Karen Osborn and many cousins. She is preceded in death by her father, Raul Morales, who passed away on August 29, 2020.

A Celebration of Life for Aimee will be held on May 21, 2022, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Adair's Saloon, 2624 Commerce Street, Dallas, Texas.
