James Richard Burks

James Richard Burks was born in Royce City, Texas on July 19, 1946 to William and Virginia Cookston Burks. Richard passed away in a Dallas hospital on March 25, 2011. Richard was raised in Royce City and graduated from Royce City High School. He moved to Kaufman and was the Texaco distributor for twenty-eight years. He later worked for John Deere in Ennis for eleven years. On January 31, 2001 Richard married Patricia Ann Spencer in Waxahachie. He is survived by his wife: Trish Burks of Trinidad, sons: Richie Burks of Kaufman, C. J. Hines of Mabank and Kyle Hines of Seven Points, mother: Virginia Flo Burks of Royce City, brothers: Jerry Burks of Union Valley, William Ray Burks of Rockwall and Carol Burks of Austin, sister: Susie Hass of Terrell, five grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
