Patsy Tijerina

PATSY TIJERINA Patsy Tijerina of Kaufman passed away in a local hospital on Sept. 5, 2008. Patsy was born in Poth, Texas to Theodoro and Eliza Serna Garza on Jan. 31, 1933. She was raised in Poth and later moved to Scurry in 1950. Patsy moved to Kaufman in 1953 where she was a member of the St. Ann Catholic Church in Kaufman. She was a seamstress and worked for Fullers Uniforms in Kaufman. On August 26, 1950 Patsy married Alfonso Tijerina in San Antonio. Her husband Alfonso preceded her in death on March 1, 2005. Three grandchildren also preceded her in death. Patsy is survived by her sons: Alfonso Tijerina Jr. of Ennis, Manuel Tijerina of Scurry, Ness Tijerina of Scurry, Eddie Tijerina of Quinlan and Jesse Tijerina of Kennedale, daughters: Victoria Walker of Muskogee, OK, Sylvia Duran of Kaufman and Patty Sosa of Kaufman, brother: Lorenzo Garza of Kaufman, sister: Eloisa Gonzalez of Kaufman, twenty-two grandchildren, forty-five great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. Rosary will be recited Sunday at 7:00 p.m. at Parker-Ashworth Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, September 8, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church in Kaufman with interment following in Kaufman Cemetery.
