Albert Marek

Albert Marek was born in Taylor, Texas on December 29, 1915 to Robert and Mary Hubinek Marek. Albert passed away at his home in Kaufman on January 9, 2013. Albert was raised in Taylor and around Sugarland. He later moved to Kaufman County and then moved to Dallas for a short time before moving back to Kaufman County. He worked for Baylor Hospital, Ford Motor Company and the Kaufman Independent School District. Albert entered the U. S. Navy in 1943 where he was stationed in San Diego, California and was discharged in 1945. On October 3, 1939 Albert married Louise Miklis in Kaufman, Texas. He was a member of the Saint Ann Catholic Church and the Kaufman Veterans of Foreign Wars. Albert loved working in his yard and garden. He is survived by his wife: Louise of Kaufman, sons: David Marek and his wife Margie of Coppell and Jerry Wayne Marek and his wife Diana of Mesquite, daughter: Carolyn Marie Mikeal and her husband O. D. of Kaufman, brothers: Jerry Marek and Robert Marek both of Kaufman, grandchildren: Oran Mikeal, Richard Mikeal, Lauren Marek, Peyton Marek, Marci Marek and Melinda Marek, great-grandchildren: Brandon Mikeal, Blake Mikeal and Matthew Mikeal and other relatives and friends.
