RANDELL GLEN MURRAH SR. Randell Glen Murrah Sr. was born in Escondido, California on January 25, 1946 to Louie Dewitt Murrah and Lillie Mae Rowell. Randell passed away in a Dallas, Texas hospital on February 1, 2014. Randell moved to Dallas, Texas at a young age and was raised in Dallas. He moved to Sachse in 1967 for three years before moving to Garland where he lived for twenty years. Randell moved to Kaufman, Texas in 1993 where he owned and operated Murrah's Landscaping Company for over thirty-one years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kaufman, the Richardson Group since 1980, Dal-Texas Racing Pigeon Club from 1979 to 1984 and past member of the Kiwanis Club. Randell also loved to go to Rodeos to watch his grandchildren. Randell was the consummate family man that enjoyed every minute that he could with his family and friends. He loved to be outdoors and was always looking for things to keep him busy. On January 20, 1991 Randell received a heart transplant that allowed him to spend the next 23 years with his family. He relished in the joy of going to work with son, Randell Jr., each day for Murrah's Landscape and making his monthly trips to First Monday in Canton with his daughter Teresa. He attended every one of his grandchildren's functions for the past 29 years from baseball games, dance recitals, fishing trips, and birthday parties no matter the cause. Before work each day, he couldn't wait to get to the local gas station to meet with his coffee crew and discuss what local news was brewing in town. The ultimate blessing in his life was his wife, Carolynn, of 46 years who was by his side throughout the entire journey. On February 16, 1967 Randell married Carolynn Cade in McKinney. The two of them together loved nothing more than having their family together. One day at a time. Randell is survived by his wife: Carolynn of Kaufman, sons: Greg Murrah and his wife Judy and Randell Murrah Jr. and his wife Shawn of Kaufman, daughter: Teresa Murrah Pevehouse and her husband Joe Jr. of Kaufman, brother: Don Murrah of Kaufman, sister: Pamela Carrizales of DeSoto, grandchildren: Jennifer Day, Hanson Murrah, Harlee Murrah, Cade Splawn, Wynell Pevehouse and Brittany Murrah, great grandchild: Jaxton Day.
