WELDON WESLEY MYERS Weldon Wesley Myers was born in Corsicana, Texas on April 8, 1932 to James Alexander Myers and Mary Eva Perry. Weldon passed away in a Kaufman, Texas hospital on February 10, 2014. Weldon was raised around Eureka and Corsicana before moving to Arizona where he lived for nineteen years. He lived in California for several years before moving to Dallas in 1968. Weldon moved to Kaufman in 1971 where he worked for the Texas Department of Transportation. He retired from TXDOT in 1992. Weldon was an ordained Baptist minister and a member of the Blackjack Missionary Baptist Church. Weldon married Nellie Brooks Dillon on November 25, 1950 in Florence, Arizona. Weldon was preceded in death by a son Mark and is survived by his wife: Nellie B. Myers of Kaufman, sons: James Weldon Myers and his wife Shannon of Phoenix, Arizona and Eric Alexander Myers and his wife Denise of Marshfield, Missouri, daughters: Eva Hayden of West Tawokoni, Mary Peete and her husband Jerry of Olathe, Kansas, Tommie Myers of Kaufman, Connie Murphy and her husband Dennis of Wills Point and Angelia Myers of Kaufman, eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, foster children: Wanza Fairchild, Crit Stamps, Angel Stamper and Christie Gilliam.
