Curtis Wayne Gorman

CURTIS WAYNE GORMAN Curtis Wayne Gorman was born in the Grays Prairie Community in Kaufman County on September 10, 1931 to Curtis and Gracie Nicklas Gorman. Curtis passed away at his home in Kaufman, Texas on February 25, 2014. Curtis was raised in Grays Prairie and graduated from Kaufman High School in 1949. He married Mary Ruth Humphrey at the First Baptist Church in Kaufman on August 29, 1952. They lived in Mabank for fourteen years operating the City Cleaners. Later they moved to Ennis where they operated Gorman's Cleaners for thirty-five years and retired in 1996. Curtis and Mary moved back to Kaufman in 2002. Curtis was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Kaufman. He is survived by his wife: Mary of Kaufman, sons: Max Gorman and his wife Edna Kay of Bellevue and Cary Gorman and his wife Jennifer of Van Alstyne, daughter: Kristen Jasper and her husband John of Nacogdoches, grandchildren: Jill Coss, Molly Cowell, Chelsea Gorman, Chase Jasper and Mary Jasper, great-grandchildren: Tucker and Hallie Coss.
