Robert John Marek

ROBERT JOHN MAREK Robert John Marek was born in Granger, Texas on November 20, 1917 to Robert and Mary Hubnak Marek. Robert passed away in Kaufman, Texas on March 7, 2014. Robert was raised in Kaufman County where he lived most of his life. He entered the U. S. Army in 1940 and served all over Europe and North Africa. Robert was promoted to First Lieutenant and was awarded the Bronze and Silver Star. He was discharged from the army in 1945. Robert worked for Ford Motor Company in Dallas and retired when the assembly plant closed. He was a member of the Saint Ann Catholic Church in Kaufman. Robert was preceded in death by his parents and brother Albert and sisters Eveleyn and Louise. He is survived by his brother: Jerry Marek of Kaufman, nephews: Jerry Marek of Mesquite, David Marek of Dallas and Robert Browne of Midlothian, nieces: Sandra Money of Greenville, Pamela Isom of Nevada and Carolyn Mikeal of Kaufman.
